    This cardinalfish is not eating, but instead carrying its eggs in its mouth. Every so often, the cardinalfish opens its mouth to oxygenate the eggs. Within a split second, it sucks them back in for safe keeping.

    I found this large grouper on the Liberty Wreck in Tulamben. It allowed me to get within less than a foot before swimming away.

    The flounder has a unique story. It begins life with one eye on each side of its head, similar to most other fish. However, shortly after birth, one eye migrates to the other side of the head, much like you see in this picture.

    This little creature, less than a couple inches long, is called a Crinoid Squat Lobster. It lives exclusively in crinoids, where it uses its camouflage to hide from potential predators.

    This Crinoid Squat Lobster ventured onto a brilliant orange sponge, which served as the perfect background.

    This little crab, less than 1 inch across, is called a soft coral crab. It looks just like the soft coral on which it lives. You can see its bright red eyes on each side of its head.

    This fish is called a dragonet. It is less than 2 inches long and quite shy. Luckily, it turned for one quick photo before darting into a hole.

    This little fish is called a Goby. On the lower right side of the photo, you can see its eggs, which it watches vigilantly.
